Local Hoist v0.4.6

October 6, 2026

A new Media library brings images and videos from your conversations into one place. This release also adds lighter media previews, improved image viewer controls, and fixes for conversation activity displays.

New

  • Open Media from the navigation rail to browse images and videos across all conversations or a single conversation. Search by name, prompt, or media ID, filter by type and source, and download originals. Add images from the current conversation back into your prompt.

Improved

  • Media previews use smaller thumbnails and wait until you open an image or play a video to load the original. The library loads media in pages rather than all at once.
  • The image viewer adds gallery navigation, timestamps, and generation details when available, with controls to copy prompts and image IDs.
  • The empty terminal panel now includes a New terminal button.

Fixed

  • Nested sub-agents stay inside their caller's group instead of appearing as separate top-level activity.
  • Built-in research activity now appears before the answer it supports in both compact and full conversation views.
  • Media summaries no longer fail to render when tool arguments are missing or malformed.
