Introducing GPT Live and redesigned app navigation. Talk with your assistant while it works, keep common controls within reach, and use new chat, image, and video models.

New

  • GPT Live lets you speak with your assistant and hear responses while work continues in the conversation. Choose a voice, mute the microphone or playback independently, and control what context Live receives. Enable it under Audio settings. Live voice is billed separately from the main assistant.
  • Added GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna, GPT-6.1 Sol, and Claude Opus 5.5 to the model catalog.
  • Added GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Sunburst for image generation and editing, including higher-quality output options. OpenAI image generation also gains transparent PNG and WebP output.
  • Added Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 video generation from text, a starting image, or image references, with resolution-specific pricing.

Improved

  • Redesigned navigation keeps shortcuts to tools, skills, hooks, settings, and account controls visible even with the sidebar closed. Title-bar controls let you show and hide workspace panels.
  • Right-click local file links to copy their path or contents, open them in VS Code, or open them in Chrome.

Reliability

  • Conversation startup, file searches, and checks before sending are more responsive. You can cancel a pending send before model work begins.
  • Fixed queued follow-ups incorrectly clearing the busy state and Stop control, sub-agent approvals becoming inaccessible in compact chat, and duplicate sub-agent cards after restoring conversations.
